ðĪ Organizing the IF-SUT School in Astrophysics and Cosmology 2026
I joined the organizing committee for the IF-SUT School in Astrophysics and Cosmology 2026, held on May 30â31 at Hansanan Hotel in Phitsanulok. The trip from Bangkok takes nearly six hours, but it was a worthwhile chance to help host undergraduate and graduate students interested in astrophysics and cosmology.
I was there as an organizer rather than a lecturer. The program brought together colleagues from universities and research institutes across Thailand, many of whom do not work in the same province, let alone at the same institution. Four guest lectures covered star and planet formation, stellar evolution from the colourâmagnitude diagram, how stars die, and Thailandâs spectroscopic capabilities.
After the school, we visited Phra Buddha Chinnarat at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, one of Phitsanulokâs best-known temples.
